Sandra Lawrence was born in 1945 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  
 
She attended The University of North Carolina at Greensboro,
but her art education was with the community of artists of
Virginia.

Professionally, she was involved in the decorative arts and
studied at Ina Marx's Finishing School in Great Neck, New York.  Some of her work in this field can be found in many of the fine homes of Virginia.  Here are a few examples.
